Laser-cooled molecules

چکیده

The last few years have seen rapid progress in the application of laser cooling to molecules. In this review, we examine what kinds molecules can be cooled, how design a suitable scheme, and understood modeled. We review recent work on slowing, magneto-optical trapping, sub-Doppler cooling, confinement conservative traps, with focus fundamental principles each technique. Finally, explore some exciting applications laser-cooled that should accessible near term.
